Harlequin Will Kick-Off Anglo-Welsh

Anglo-Welsh cup is going to start soon; the tournament was the part of Harlequin’s membership for 2016-17. The 16 team competition is a big tournament every rugby player and its lovers are desperately looking for it. To come and see the matches of Anglo-Welsh cup, members do not have to purchase any ticket. With the membership card hey can access entry to the ground.

2016 Cowper Shield Goes To Harlequins

Harlequins Rugby Club has got something to celebrate.


The club has won the 2016 Cowper Shield for being the top club to receive the most championship points in both the junior and the senior grades. Harlequins have scored a thumping win over the other teams as far as club championship points are concerned.

The club was able to amass a total of 693.5 points and win the championship by beating the second best team, the Melbourne Unicorns, by a clear 77 points. The best part about the Harlequins victory is that they have toppled Melbourne Unicorns, who have been winning this award for the past 6 years consecutivel. Tim Swiel New Contract Signed

Tim Swiel the fly-half player has signed a new contract with Harlequins; under this contract he is extending his association with Harlequins.

Tim Swiel is a wonderful Rugby player and is best known for his outstanding performance in LV=Cup. He made his debut with same match and fans of Tim those witnesses that performance can never forget that.

Commenting on Tim’s new contract, John Kingston, Director of Rugby Harlequins said “Tim is a great player and there is no shortage of opportunity to him. Care Starts Tough Workout

Danny Care the leading rugby player and Harlequin scrum-half is working hard in training camp. His hard work is for upcoming Old Mutual Wealth Series. In this training session, he has extended his limit to the next level to bring out best in him.

The team does not want to leave any stone unturned to make their performance best in this tournament. Talking about the intensity of the workout the Care is going through he said “Your objective behind this tough training is to make ourselves strong. No other team should feel comfortable playing opposite to us. This is what we want. Harlequins To Gain Mark Reddish In The Squad

Mark Reddish is being picked up for the new season by the Harlequins team. Mark who comes from Highlanders helped the latter be victorious in the Super Rugby finals that were held last year.


Harlequins have signed him on as a second row forward player. The change would happen before the new season begins. Reddish had made his debut in the Hurricanes team as part of the Super Rugby tournament. In that game he had played against the Highlanders in the year 2011.
